This foal born in July 2020 is by Diamant de Semilly, out of our mare Ombre de Quidam DKS. A super stallion with an yet unknown mare! But, this yet unknown mare has some serious connections and some serious talent…and we expect both her and her foal to be dream horses!

The Dam, Ombre the Quidam DKS (Quidam de Revel x Cento), is out of Centina (Cento x Careras), a mare that produced several nice horses for us, including Kumana DKS (Cumano x Cento), the mother of 2019 5yo Champion of France Ekano DKS (Kannan x Cento), Lilly Express DKS (Baloubet du Rouet x Cento), currently in training with Axelle Lagoubie and jumping up to 1.40, Nina Simone DKS (Kannan x Cento), sold at FENCES 2016 and Mira DKS (Mylord Carthago x Cento), sold to the USA. Ombre herself started competing as a 4yo in 2018, demonstrating great natural talent for jumping. She continued to successfully jump courses for 5yo in 2019, after which she took a break to produce an embryo. She is now back in training with Axelle Lagoubie, showing a lot of enthusiasm and scope. She is by Quidam de Revel (Jalisco B x Nankin), a horse that with Herve Godignon won an team bronze medal at Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992 for France and took an individual fourth place. He also scored dozens of other high profile wins and placings, including in NC, WC…As a sire he spent many years in the top 10 of WBFHS rankings list, as he produced many successful horses. Some of them are known as great stallions themselves, such as Nabab de Reve, Dollar de la Pierre, Guidam; and others medal winning Championship horses, like Maikel van der Vleuten’s VDL Groep Verdi, team Olympic Vice-champion from 2012; Jerome Guery’s European team Champion 2019 Quel Homme de Hus and Philippe Rozier’s Rahotep de Toscane, team Olympic Champion from 2016.

The sire, Diamant de Semilly (Le Tot de Semilly x Elf III) is already one of the best ever. Placed BEST STALLION IN THE WORLD (2015 and 2016 WBFSH Jumping Sires Rankings) and holding a number 2 spot ever since, the quality of his offspring is unanimously recognized and sought after. This fantastic horse was a winner in his own sport career. With rider Eric Levallois he was 2002 Team WORLD CHAMPION (9th Individually), Champion of France 2002 (after a great showjumping season including 11 out of 12 rounds clear at the Nations Cup) and Team silver medalist in 2003 European Championships. Diamant de Semilly transmits to his offspring with an impressive regularity his strong back, scope, great balance, wonderful canter, suppleness, power, uncommon ease and super willingness, which makes him a dream stallion. He sired horses such as Don VHP (Diamant de Semilly x Voltaire), European vice-champion in 2017 with Harrie Smolders. This horse also played a key role in crowning Harrie as overall GCT champion in 2017 and vice champion in 2018 and getting to the top of the Longines FEI Rider Rankings list. Another horse that was part of this particular success story is another Diamant son: Emerald (Diamant de Semilly x Carthago) not only contributed to fantastic results in GCT, but also went with Harrie to Olympic Games in 2016 and jumped with him to silver medal position in the World Cup. A member of national team of UK on WEG with two different riders and collector of many 5* grand prix wins and placings with several more, Utamaro d' Ecaussines (Diamant de Semilly x Quidam de Revel) is also by legendary Diamant, as is rising star Dominator 2000 Z (Diamant de Semilly x Cassini I), a fire breathing black stallion, that after entering the world of 1.60m high Grand Prix courses in the middle of 2019 is already a force to be reckoned with.

So, in the middle of July we welcomed this Diamant de Semilly x Quidam de Revel foal, and he is a real mid-summer nights dream!!!
